Manor Lakes - Swimming Lessons

Dedicated swim schools made for families.

Baby Swimming Lessons

Designed for babies from 12 weeks to three years, our Foundation Program is a wonderful way to introduce your child to the water. In these lessons, parents and babies can swim together. Expect a calm atmosphere with lots of fun activities as you both get comfortable in the water.

Kids Swimming Lessons

No matter your child’s swimming ability, we have a program for them. Our Independent Program is ideal for beginners while our Competent Program is great for those who have the basics covered and are ready to develop their skills. In the Graduate Program, children can advance to become a swimming expert!

Squad Swimming Lessons

Graduate swimmers have the opportunity to take part in our Squad Program. These lessons will introduce your child to the amazing world of competitive swimming. They’ll also get the chance to advance their lifesaving and survival skills, as well as their endurance, technique and fitness.

Adult Swimming Lessons

Whether you’re ready to dip your toes into the pool for the first time or want to progress your skills after some time away – you can do it with our adult swimming lessons. We offer basic, intermediate and advanced lessons so you can improve your confidence and technique, whatever your ability.

All Kingswim Swimming Lessons

Every Kingswim program includes vital survival swimming lessons to help your child learn water safety skills and techniques. We also offer a special ‘Survival Week’ and ‘Endurance Week’ tailored to each program and level, so children of all ages can become confident and capable swimmers.

Meet our people

Bennjamin

Centre Manager

Bennjamin joined the Kingswim team in 2022 after being a swim teacher for 5 years. He has always loved the water; he learnt how to swim as a toddler and even participated at a squad and state level in his youth. He loves that Kingswim provides a great culture and environment for families to enjoy, children to thrive in and teachers to professionally develop.

Bennjamin describes himself as reliable, resilient and dedicated. When he’s not at Kingswim you’ll find him taking trips down the Great Ocean Road – or chilling at home in front of a good movie.

Nick

Nick

Assistant Centre Manager

Nick joined Kingswim in December 2023. Having recently relocated from America where he worked in youth development, Nick is passionate about working with young people. At Kingswim, he loves being able to have an effect on the youth’s future and seeing new faces every single day.

Nick describes himself as hard working, outgoing and driven. Outside of work, he enjoys playing baseball, spending time with family and friends, and watching AFL (even if he is still learning the rules!).

Common Questions

Research has shown that babies who learn how to swim at a young age are reaching many developmental milestones earlier. It’s a wonderful experience that really can start early! We teach tiny tots through to big kids, with programs available to babies from 12 weeks of age.

To keep babies and children comfortable, we have a constant water temperature of between 32-33 degrees. For babies 3-6 months of age, we recommend a maximum time in the water of 30 minutes.

We’ve helped a lot of families in our time. So we know all the little things we can do to help make learning the essential life skill of swimming an enjoyable and meaningful experience for parents and kids alike. We have welcoming team members, family friendly change rooms, infant change areas and plenty of space for prams to make it easy for you to get changed once you’ve finished in the water. So yes, we consider ourselves to be very family friendly!

Better again…we offer a free introductory lesson! It’s a great way to find out more about us, and for us to get to know your child. After the free introductory lesson, one of our friendly supervisors will talk to you about which level is best suited to your child’s abilities. They’ll also be able to answer any other questions you may have about our program.

What Others are Saying

We had an amazing time at our first bub swim session, Lucas luved the water and I was really amazed at all the new things I learnt about how to hold your bub, so that they are able to become more familiar in the water and kick their legs. Loved it!!!

Gail

I have taken my son to their Baby Play lessons. These are fantastic at giving the babies a chance to experience and familiarise them with the pool environment. I would recommend them to everyone with young babies.

Kristy

I have attended other pools and have left frustrated at how hard they seem to make it for people with bubs. Not at Kingswim though! I always leave happy.

Mel

We have been taking our 9 month old to swimming lessons at Kingswim and have found the small class sizes and professional teachers to be great. The whole centre, including the change rooms is kept toasty warm so that the littlies don’t get cold when they are out of the water.
