How we teach

We want every child to become the best swimmer they can be.

Our teaching style focuses on ensuring children feel safe and supported in the water. All of our teachers follow the same lesson plan to ensure consistency.

We also teach in small class sizes, creating a nurturing environment where every child receives the close attention and guidance they need to develop their skills.

To support your child during lessons, our teachers may use ‘hands-on corrections’. This is where they use their hands to guide your child into the correct swimming position and keep them safe.

Our aim is to help your child grow more confident and capable in the water, one lesson at a time.

Why families choose Kingswim

“My experience with Kingswim is great. they have very supportive staffs and always listened to your concerns. Very accommodating. My daughter's swimming has improved. She can swim independently outside her swimming class. I love watching her especially if her teacher is Faith. A big thank you to teacher Faith for being an excellent teacher. Well done Kingswim team!”

– Jojie Ann Bautista, Kingswim Manor Lakes

“It took us a while to find a pool that has worked well for our kids. Despite years of lessons we weren't seeing much progress. This pool was recommended to us by a family member. As soon as we switched to Kingswim things begun to click for our kids and they are both doing fantastically. The staff are so helpful, and approachable, the class sizes aren't too big, the staff are consistent and the facilities are tailored to multiple families with small kids. Wish we'd found this gem sooner.”

– Brigitte Cox, Kingswim Chirnside Park

“We have been attending swimming lessons here for the past few months and we’ve had a very good experience. Our swimming teacher Kerri made the lessons fun while still teaching important water safety skills. We’ve seen a huge improvement in our child’s confidence in the water and their swimming ability. The school provides regular updates on evaluations through the app and our overall experience has been great thus far.”

Progress your swimming skills with Kingswim

We’re here to help every swimmer succeed. With lessons and assessments available all year round, swimmers can steadily progress and advance to the next level whenever they’re ready.

To celebrate our swimmers' achievements, swimmers can ring our Celebration Bell when they master a skill or achieve a new star. We also run Assessment Intensive Weeks and encourage swimmers to set new goals.

For those who need extra support, we offer a Learning Guarantee. If you complete 32 lessons at the same level with regular attendance, you could get a second weekly lesson at no extra cost until you’re ready to move up a level.

Survival swimming skills

We incorporate survival swimming skills into every lesson at Kingswim – from our Foundation programs right up to our Graduate and Squad programs.

Each week, your child will learn and practise essential swimming skills that will help them become stronger and safer in the water.

We also have dedicated Survival Weeks, where children learn specific lifesaving skills appropriate to their age and ability level. This includes safe entries and exits, rescue techniques, survival strokes and more.

By focusing on survival swimming skills, our lessons help kids grow into confident swimmers who know how to be safer in and around water.
