At Kingswim we love water safety initiatives, and this is one of our favourites!
This April, Poolwerx and Australian Red Cross, have joined forces to educate as many people as possible with the lifesaving skill of CPR.
A child is four times more likely to survive a drowning if their parents know CPR and start immediately. Recent research conducted by Poolwerx reveals that 75% of people surveyed felt they did not have the necessary CPR skills to save a life in an emergency, 37% said they didn’t know where to get training and 34% said their partner knew CPR so they didn’t have to!
That’s why for the month of April, Poolwerx and Australian Red Cross are offering free online CPR courses valued at $100.
At Kingswim we can’t stress the value of CPR enough, that’s why we’re encouraging all Kingswim families to educate themselves for free this April.
Whether you have a pool at home or not, everyone should know how to perform this lifesaving skill.
The April Pools Day Red Cross online course is a limited offer with 2,000 courses available nationally. The course only takes three hours to complete and will provide insight on CPR for adults and children.
To take part in the free online course, parents can visit www.poolwerx.com.au/about-us/april-pools-day/ from April 1st to register.
Full CPR accreditation can be achieved with a paid practical course with a 20 percent discount offered from Red Cross for people who complete the online element.
